Sarkor Telecom told subscribers on 15 August 2025 that it would update its tariff plans from 25 August. The company set out three elements: higher access speeds, plans reworked to current market patterns, and investment in infrastructure.
On the third point the notice was unusually direct. Sarkor said it was expanding technical capacity, modernising equipment and improving the network, and that this required an adjustment to prices in return for a stated improvement in quality and stability of connection. It framed the timing around growth in content volume, in the number of devices per household and in the demands services place on speed. No investment figure was disclosed, and Boxwood has not seen one elsewhere.
Subscribers were told they could terminate their contract in the established manner at any point before the change took effect, and that keeping the contract constituted acceptance of the new terms. The notice was published in Russian and Uzbek on the company’s own channels.
