Apifonica Group announced on 29 June 2026 that Sascha Korten had joined its leadership team as managing director of TENIOS, its German subsidiary.
According to the announcement, Korten brings around three decades in telecommunications, cloud and networking, with senior roles at Avaya, Bosch Telecom, Colt, DeteWe and TeamViewer — experience split between the carrier side of the industry and the software side. His brief is the DACH region, and specifically bringing the group’s full stack of AI agents, voice, messaging and numbers to more customers there.
Korten is quoted describing the combination of TENIOS and Apifonica as “an AI and an established telecom operator”, and his task as turning that into “enterprise AI with a European backbone”. Denis Shirokiy, founder and chief executive of Apifonica Group, called the DACH market “crucial for our success”. Stefan Kovacs, the managing director quoted in the announcement, who says he has known Korten for more than twenty years, endorsed the appointment.
