Sarkor Telecom announced on 7 May 2025 that subscribers can buy equipment in instalments over three months, through what it describes as a partnership with the Uzbek financial technology company Alif. The company says the arrangement carries no mark-up.

According to the announcement, payment runs through the partner’s mobile application: the customer opens the payments section, selects internet services and then Sarkor, enters their subscriber ID and chooses the instalment option at checkout. The stated limit is up to 750,000 sum towards the purchase of a Wi-Fi router. Customers without an account with the lender register in the application to obtain a limit.

Sarkor presents the arrangement as an alternative to renting equipment: the subscriber receives the router without a rental charge and without paying the full amount at once.

The announcement appeared on Sarkor’s own channels in Russian and Uzbek. Boxwood found no corresponding statement from the lender, so the partnership is confirmed on one side only.
